New Delhi, Oct 29:
Users across India were left puzzled today after dozens of popular “Satta King” and “Gali Disawar Satta King Result” websites suddenly went offline. Sites that usually dominate Google’s first page now show “This site can’t be reached” or “Server not found” messages — sparking speculation of a nationwide block.
According to tech analysts and government sources, the timing of this shutdown coincides with the enforcement of the Online Gaming Regulation & Control Bill, 2025 — a law that bans real-money gambling, matka, and betting portals in India.
Officials from the Ministry of Electronics and IT (MeitY) have been directed to block domains involved in illegal betting or money laundering activities. Reports suggest that over 1,500 websites and 174 mobile apps related to gambling have already been blacklisted under new cyber directives.
Cyber experts point out that this is not a case of simple downtime or maintenance.
“The simultaneous DNS failure of multiple Satta domains suggests a coordinated ISP-level block,” said a Delhi-based digital forensics consultant.
The government has intensified monitoring of keywords such as “satta,” “king,” “matka,” and “disawar” across search engines. Several telecom ISPs have reportedly received internal circulars to restrict access to URLs promoting unlicensed betting.
While some Satta portals may attempt to reappear under new domain names hosted abroad, enforcement agencies are using AI-based crawlers to trace and report mirror links within hours.
For now, the sudden disappearance of these portals marks one of the largest digital crackdowns on underground betting networks in recent memory.
