Our Commitment to Accountability

The Jaisalmer News is committed to the highest standards of accuracy. When we discover an error—whether human or AI-induced—we pledge to correct it promptly, transparently, and clearly.

Reporting an Error

Readers can report potential errors via the following methods:

  • Email: editor @jaisalmernews.com
  • Online Form: at Contact Us Page

When reporting an error, please provide the article URL and a clear description of the alleged error, including the correct information and, if possible, the primary source supporting the correction.

Our Correction Process and Timeline

  1. Verification: A human editor will review the reported error, cross-checking the original content against the primary source.
  2. Classification: Errors are classified based on severity (minor typo, factual inaccuracy, or major misleading statement).
  3. Correction:
    • Minor Errors (e.g., typos, grammar): Corrected immediately in the text without a formal public note.
    • Factual Errors (e.g., incorrect date, wrong price): Corrected in the text, and a Correction Note will be appended to the bottom of the article.
    • Major Misinformation: If the core premise is proven false, a prominent Editor’s Note will be placed at the top of the article detailing the correction and the reason for the error (if known).
  4. Timeline: We strive to verify and correct all factual errors within 4 hours during standard operating times.
