Girls’ Hostel Mess Found Operating Illegally Under Expired Food Licence in Jaipur
Jaipur: A girls’ hostel mess in Pratap Nagar was found running with an expired food licence during a food safety inspection.
The action was taken under the ongoing “Shuddh Aahar Milawat Par Vaar” campaign in the state.
Following directions from Food Safety Commissioner Dr. T. Shubhmangla Madam and CMHO Dr. Manish Mittal, the team led by Food Safety Officers Rameshchand Yadav, Avadhesh Gupta, and Nand Kishore Kumawat inspected Sector 11, Pratap Nagar.
During the inspection of Shri Radhe Krishna Girls PG’s mess, several irregularities and unhygienic conditions were found.
Expired food items, contaminated spices, and improperly stored pulses and grains were seized.
The mess lacked a valid FSSAI registration and failed to display any hygiene or safety certificate.
Officials immediately stopped the food service and collected samples for further testing.
The department stated that strict action will be taken against those running the hostel mess without a valid licence.
Authorities urged all hostel and PG operators to ensure compliance with food safety norms to avoid penalties.
