Banswara.— A large number of saints, seers, and local residents gathered today at the Chhoti Sarvan sub-division headquarters in Banswara.
The group submitted a memorandum to the SDM, demanding the immediate implementation of an anti-conversion law.
In the memorandum, they alleged that cases of religious conversions are rising in the tribal areas.
The saints claimed that innocent tribals are being lured and converted to other religions through money, gifts, and false promises.
They urged the government to take strict action against such activities.
The demonstrators also raised slogans demanding an effective law to stop forced conversions.
After a peaceful protest, the saints and locals handed over their written appeal to the SDM.
They reiterated their demand for the government to implement a strong anti-conversion law at the earliest.
