Nepal’s Deputy PM Asks Diplomats To Assess Geopolitical Development Keeping National Interest At Centre

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for foreign Affairs of Nepal Narayan Kaji Shrestha pointed out that Geopolitical developments need to be assessed keeping national interest at centre while addressing a seminar on Transferring Knowledge on Bilateral and Multilateral Negotiations. The seminar was organised by the Institute of Foreign Affairs which was attended by the Secretary of Foreign Ministry, former ambassadors, government diplomats and other dignitaries.
 

Mr. Shrestha emphasised that as the country grapples with new critical issues and geopolitical  rivalries, a diplomat’s role becomes more important to work together for global peace, stability and prosperity. Climate change, cyber security, energy security, transnational organised crimes, artificial intelligence have become prominent areas of international cooperation and engagements.
