West Bengal: ACJM Court Grants 14-Day STF Custody To Alleged Ansar Al Islam Member Linked To Al-Qaeda

In West Bengal, Md. Habibullah, a member of Bangladeshi terrorist organisation Ansar al Islam’s branch organisation of Sahadat was given a 14-day state police’s STF custody today by an ACJM court at Durgapur. Ansar al-Islam is linked with the banned terrorist organisation Al-Quaeda. He was arrested yesterday by the STF from Kaksha of Paschim Bardhaman district.
 
Sahadat, the terrorist organisation operates in India and Bangladesh and uses the secret code ‘BiP’ as a mode of communication. Md. Habibullah is an Indian national and a student of computer science at a local college and the Police have framed charges under UAPA and other acts against him.
