Uttar Pradesh: Meteorological Department Warns Of Severe Heatwave In Multiple Districts Until June 21st

In Uttar Pradesh, Meteorological Department has predicted severe heatwave conditions in the districts of Kannauj, Kanpur, Mathura, Agra, Firozabad, Etawah, Lucknow, Barabanki, Hardoi and surrounding areas till 21st June. A red alert of heat wave is issued in the State for today and tomorrow. Highest temperatures in the last 24 hours was recorded in Orai with temperatures reaching 46.4 degree Celsius.
 
Akashvani Correspondent reports that as per the Met Department Pre-monsoon rains are expected to start from June 22nd. Monsoon will hit the entire state of Uttar Pradesh between June 23rd and 25th. There is a possibility of heavy rain as soon as the monsoon becomes active in the state.
Dr. S. N. Sunil Pandey, Meteorologist of Chandrashekhar Azad Institute of Agriculture and Technology, Kanpur, said that from Thursday, eastern winds will knock in Uttar Pradesh. This will change the weather and people will get relief from the severe heat.
