In a horrific accident in Hardoi district of Uttar Pradesh, at least eight members including four children of a family died after a sand-laden truck lost control and overturned on a hut. The tragic incident took place in the Mallawan area of the district when a truck travelling from Kanpur to Hardoi overturned in the early hours of Wednesday. The hut belonged to members of the Nat community, who had set up makeshift homes along the roadside.
Upon receiving information about the accident, police arrived at the scene and, with the help of residents and a JCB machine, managed to upright the truck and remove the sand.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has expressed grief and sorrow over the incident and asked officials to help the family in every possible manner.
