Three Maoists Killed In Encounter In Chhattisgarh’s Narayanpur District

In Chhattisgarh, three Maoists have been killed in an encounter with security forces in Narayanpur district on Tuesday (2nd July 2024). District Superintendent of Police Prabhat Kumar said that after receiving intelligence inputs about the presence of Maoists in Kohkameta area, a joint team of DRG, STF, BSF and ITBP was sent to area. The Maoists ambushed the security personnel in the forest bordering Maharashtra and started indiscriminate firing. Security forces retaliated the firing. In the exchange of fire, three Maoists killed.

Meanwhile, security forces have arrested nine Maoists from various areas of Sukma district of the state.
 

Apart from this, two Maoists including a woman have surrendered today in Sukma district. A reward of Rs 5 lakh each was declared on these two Maoists.
