Sikkim Celebrates International Day Of Yoga With Governor Acharya As Chief Guest

Sikkim celebrated today’s International Day of Yoga. The state-level event was held at Paljor Stadium of the State capital Gangtok this morning with State Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya as Chief Guest. Speaking on the occasion, Governor Acharya emphasized the significance of yoga in promoting the stability of both the body and the mind. The Governor also underlined how yoga fosters physical well-being and mental peace, contributing to overall health and harmony. He also highlighted the essence of yoga, aligning with the global theme of this year’s celebration, and encouraged everyone to incorporate yoga into their daily lives for a balanced and healthy lifestyle.
 
The event also featured a Yoga session where Governor Acharya joined students and officials from different departments to practice various Yoga asanas.
