NFSU And Haryana Govt. Sign An MoU To Establish A Centre Of Excellence In Panchkula

An MoU for setting up the Centre of Excellence for matters related to identified crime cases, was signed today between National Forensic Science University (NFSU) and Haryana Government at Panchkula, Haryana.  The MoU was signed in the presence of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Union Urban Development, Housing and Energy Minister Manohar Lal, Chief Minister Naib Singh and Haryana Assembly Speaker Gyan Chand Gupta.
 

A 50-acre campus will be built in Panchkula, Haryana in collaboration with NFSU. It will be the country’s first Center of Excellence which will be built in the state. There are currently 4 forensic labs running in the state.  Mr Shah said that the center would provide scientific help in implementing the three new criminal laws at the ground level. He also proposed to open a training institute at this center to help provide training facilities to students and officers of Haryana and the surrounding states.
 

Haryana  Chief Minister Naib Singh said that with the establishment of the center, it would be easier to collect evidence in identified crimes.
