Most Parts Of Himachal Pradesh Receive First Heavy Rainfall Of Monsoon In Last 24 Hours

Most parts of Himachal Pradesh received the first heavy rainfall of the monsoon in the last 24 hours. On one hand, due to this rain, the long-running drought period has ended, on the other hand, the fields have got enough moisture for sowing of Kharif crops. This rain has also provided relief to the people from the scorching heat. The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of heavy rain at many places in the state for the next three-four days. Apart from this, an alert of heavy rain with thunder and lightning has been issued in some parts. In view of the possibility of heavy rains, the administration has appealed to the people to take precautions while coming out of their homes during the rains and not to go near rivers and streams.
