Ministry Of Law & Justice Hosts Conference Titled ‘India’s Progressive Path In The Administration Of Criminal Justice System’ In Mumbai Today

Department of Legal Affairs, Ministry of Law and Justice is organising a conference titled ‘India’s Progressive Path in the Administration of Criminal Justice System’ in Mumbai today. The aim of the conference is to generate awareness about the three new criminal laws, ‘The Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita 2023’, ‘The Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita 2023’, and ‘The Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam, 2023’ among all the stakeholders including Judges, Prosecutors, Advocates, Officers of Law Enforcement and Investigating Agencies, District Administration Officials, Academia and students of law and the citizens.
 

Governor of Maharashtra Ramesh Bais, Chief Minister of Maharashtra Eknath Shinde, Union Minister of State(Independent Charge) Law and Justice Arjun Ram Meghwal, Minister for Law and Judiciary in Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis, Chief Justices of High Courts of Bombay, Gujarat, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, J&K and Ladakh, among others shall grace the occasion and speak on the three new laws.
 

The inaugural session will focus on the overarching objectives of the new criminal laws. The inaugural session shall be followed by three technical sessions one on each new law.
