Additional CRPF jawans have been deployed in the interior areas of Borobekra Sub Division of Jiribam district, Manipur to maintain peace and tranquility in the areas. The Borobekra Sub Division had been badly affected in the recent violence in the district which started from the evening of May 6th.
Meanwhile, the district administration of Jiribam district today distributed cooking gas cylinders and other necessary items to the families taking shelter in the relief camps. The district health officials have been giving healthcare services round the clock to the villagers. The Education Department has also started classes from class one to eight standard for the children taking shelter in the camps in the district headquarters.
On the other hand, movement of loaded truck and LPG bullet tanks has commenced along the Imphal Jiribam Road (National Highway 37) from today. Around 110 loaded trucks including LPG bullet tanks reached Imphal this evening under the protection of a CRPF convoy.
