Haryana Forest Dept Celebrates World Environment Day By Worshipping “Prana Vayu Devta” Trees Aged More Than 75 Years

The Forest Department of Haryana celebrated World Environment Day by worshipping “Prana Vayu Devta” trees aged more than 75 years. The function organised at Gurugram was attended by forest officials as well as representatives of the local community.
 
On this occasion, Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forests Anant Prakash Pandey, while stressing on environmental conservation, explained in detail about the Prana Vayu Devta Yojana and called upon everyone to promote tree plantation. He said that along with plantation, care of the plants should also be ensured. Similar, programmes were organised simultaneously in all the divisions of South Circle, Gurugram, Faridabad, Rewari, Palwal, Nuh and Mewat.
