In Assam, the flood situation has turned critical, with more than 6 lakh people reeling under the deluge across 19 districts. During the last 24 hours, one more person died in Tinsukia, taking the death toll to 35, while another person was reported missing in Golaghat. A total of 1,275 villages across 64 revenue circles have been affected by the flood, and over 14,700 hectares of crop area have been damaged across the state.
