The T20 World Cup-winning Indian cricket team expected to fly home on Tuesday (2nd July 2024) evening, local time, from Barbados and will land in Delhi on Wednesday (3rd July 2024) evening, Indian Standard Time. They have been stranded in Barbados for the past two days due to Hurricane Beryl, which resulted in airports and businesses shut down. The World Cup winning team, originally scheduled to depart from Barbados on Monday ( 1st July 2024) at 11 AM, local time.

According to latest report from the National Hurricane Centre of US, hurricane Beryl, which was upgraded to a category four on Monday ( 1st July 2024) , has intensified into an extremely dangerous category five storm after making landfall in the Windward Islands as it churned towards Jamaica.
