Mansukh Mandaviya, Hardeep Singh Puri  Unveil Ceremonial Dress And Playing Kit For Paris Olympics

Sports Minister Dr Mansukh Mandaviya and Petroleum Minister Hardeep Singh Puri unveiled the Ceremonial Dress and Playing Kit for the Indian contingent for the for Paris Olympics during a Send Off Ceremony in New Delhi this evening.
 
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Mandaviya said, the participating Indian athletes have the blessings and good wishes of 140 crore countrymen. He expressed confidence that the Indian contingent will sustain India’s growth trajectory in sports.  The Sports Minister hoped that the athletes would take the nation even higher on the medal table this time.  He said, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Government has a special focus on Sports.

Congratulating the Indian Contingent for the Paris 2024 Olympics, Mr Puri said, the Olympics are the pinnacle of human achievement.  Mr Puri expressed happiness that various oil and gas PSUs are playing a valuable role in facilitating the best possible preparation for the athletes.

President of Indian Olympics Association P T Usha, sportspersons who will compete in the Paris Olympics,  several veteran Indian Olympians, and office bearers of sports federations were present on the occasion among others.  
 
 
India will be sending a contingent of close to 120 athletes to the Paris Olympics which will be held from 26th of next month till 11th August.
