Union Minister for Culture Gajendra Singh Shekhawat has asserted that the Yuga Yugeen Bharat Museum will stand as a testament to India’s rich heritage and its unwavering spirit of progress. On the concluding day of the four-day Capacity Building Workshop at the Yuga Yugeen Bharat Museum in New Delhi yesterday, the Minister said that it would transcend the traditional museum experience, embodying the spirit of inclusivity. Mr Shekhawat added that it would be a museum of the people, by the people and for the people.
 

The new National Museum of India will come up at North and South Block as part of the Central Vista Redevelopment project that seeks to revamp India’s central administrative area located near Raisina Hill in New Delhi. The museum will be spread over 1 lakh 54 thousand square metre area, making it the largest museum in the world. The Museum will be developed in collaboration with France.
 

Addressing the event, Secretary of the Ministry of Culture Govind Mohan said, this museum would showcase India’s rich art, culture and heritage. He hoped that the upcoming museum would inspire the generations to come.
 
 
Akashvani Correspondent reports that the four-day intensive brainstorming session and workshops which were held at Bharat Mandapam, provided invaluable insights into the core operational elements of a world-class museum. These sessions focused on critical areas such as collection management, curatorial practices, administrative best practices, and the strategic integration of technology.
