Southwest Monsoon Continues To Advance In Remaining Parts Of North India Making Weather Pleasant

Southwest Monsoon has further advanced into remaining parts of East Uttar Pradesh and some more parts of Western Uttar Pradesh today. India Meteorological Department, IMD has said that conditions are favourable for further advance of southwest Monsoon into some more parts of West Rajasthan, Haryana,Chandigarh, Punjab and  remaining parts of West Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu during next two to three days.
 

IMD added that heavy to very heavy rainfall occurred today at isolated places over Tamil Nadu, Meghalaya, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim and isolated places over Uttar Pradesh, Odisha, Arunachal Pradesh, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Gujarat Region, South Interior Karnataka.
 

AIR correspondent reports that after witnessing heavy rainfall yesterday, light to moderate intensity of rainfall lashed various parts of the national capital and its adjoining areas on the second day today. The rain has further brought down the temperature making the weather pleasant and the day temperature remained below normal.The city has received 8.9 millimeter rainfall till the evening. According to IMD, the maximum temperature was recorded at 35.6 degree Celsius which is two degree below normal while the minimum settled at 28 degree Celsius. The weather agency has forecast a generally cloudy sky with moderate to heavy rain and thunderstorms in Delhi and its adjoining areas during the next 24 hours. Tomorrow, the maximum and minimum temperature will be hovering around 34 and 26 degree Celsius.
