Shri Amarnathji Pilgrimage Is Going On Smoothly Amidst Tight Security Arrangements

In the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, the annual pilgrimage of Shri Amarnathji is going on smoothly. More and more pilgrims drawn from various parts of the country are reaching daily in “the city of temples” in Jammu for their onward journey for the pilgrimage of Shri Amarnath Ji.
 

AIR Srinagar Correspondent told that today on the first day of the Yatra, twelve thousand two hundred and twenty one (12,221) devotees have paid their obeisance to the naturally formed ice shiv lingam of lord Shiva and Shiv Parivar in the holy cave shrine of Shri Amarnathji in south Kashmir Himalayas until five pm this evening.
 

Earlier, the second batch of 4,029 Yatris left Bhagwati Nagar Yatri Niwas in Jammu in the wee hours today for the twin base camps of Nunwan, Pahalgam and Baltal in a cavalcade of 200 vehicles. About 25 community kitchens have been established on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway for Shri Amarnath Ji Yatris.
 

Meanwhile, all the requisite arrangements with regard to basic amenities, healthcare including security have been put in place at the Base Camps and enroute Shri Amarnathji Cave Shrine for the comfort and convenience of the devotees thronging the region to pay obeisance at the holy cave shrine.
