President Droupadi Murmu has expressed distress for people who lost their lives in a road accident in Rudraprayag, Uttarakhand. In a social media post, the President said that it was sad news. She prayed for the speedy recovery of injured people.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed grief over the tragic road accident in Rudraprayag, Uttarakhand and announced ex-gratia of two lakh rupees from Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund to the next of kin of each deceased. The injured would be given 50 thousand rupees. In a social media post, Mr Modi extended condolences to the bereaved families and prayed for a quick recovery of the injured. He further said that under the supervision of the state government, the local administration is engaged in all possible help to the victims.
