Heat Wave Conditions Likely To Prevail In Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan And Odisha

Widespread light to moderate rainfall accompanied with thunderstorm and lightning is likely over North East region, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim during next seven days. India Meteorological Department (IMD) has said that similar conditions are also likely over Jammu Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand during next three to four days. IMD said that light rainfall with thunderstorm and dust storm is very likely over Punjab, Haryana-Chandigarh-Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan during the next two to three days.

Meanwhile, Heat wave conditions are likely to prevail in Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan and Odisha during the next three to four days.

On Southwest monsoon, the weather department said, conditions are favourable for further advance of southwest monsoon into remaining parts of central Arabian Sea, remaining parts of Karnataka, some parts of south Maharashtra, some more parts Telangana and Coastal Andhra Pradesh, some parts of south Chhattisgarh and South Odisha, some more parts of West Central and Northwest Bay of Bengal in the next 3-4 days.
