AICTE Comes Up With AI Certificate Course To Train Engineering Faculty Members

The All India Council for Technical Education, AICTE has come up with short term courses to train core engineering faculty members under quality improvement programs in emerging areas such as artificial intelligence, data science. AI and data science is the second most sought after course in Tamilnadu colleges this year.
 
In Tamilnadu several certification courses are being conducted by private institutions. As the demand is increasing in the market efforts to conduct more courses on Artificial intelligence and data science analytics have been taken. In this academic year 25 thousand seats are being added for engineering colleges to Anna University. Faculty members from mechanical, civil, electrical and electronics departments with a minimum five years of experience can apply for programs such as AI, Data science, robotics, IoT, cyber physical systems, virtual reality, machine learning. The duration of these hybrid programs offered by IIT is six months and they will be offered at free of cost. The last date to apply is on June 6. Colleges have also requested Anna University to accept core engineering faculty as AI faculty after a certification program. From upskilling their faculty members to hiring industry experts, engineering colleges are trying various ways to teach emerging areas.
