Steady Rise In Production Of Key Minerals And Aluminium Metal In 1st Month Of Current Fiscal

The Government said that the country has witnessed a steady increase in the production of key minerals and aluminum metal in the first month of the current fiscal year. The Ministry of Mines said that the production of iron ore has increased from 25 Million Metric Tons during April 2023 to 26 Million Metric Tons during April 2024, registering a growth of 4 percent. The production of limestone registered a growth of 2.1 percent, increasing from 38.5 Million Metric Tons during April 2023 to 39.3 Million Metric Tons during April 2024. In the non-ferrous metal sector, production of primary aluminum metal hit a record level at 41.6 lakh tonnes. The ministry said that in the current financial year, aluminum production continues to be on a growth track. Aluminum production during this fiscal year has increased by about 1 percent compared to the corresponding month last year.
